Spaces of measures correspond to the dual of Banach spaces of the form C(K), that is the space of continuous real valued functions on a compact space K . The spaces of the form C(K) have been studied classically in Banach space theory, but have been revolutionised by recent discoveries by set theorists about their structure when K is not metrizable, or equivalently, when C(K) is nonseprable. Spaces of measures however, have not yet received a similar amount of attention and there are many important areas of research within this theme that are still open. One of the most interesting is the study of what properties of K are preserved by isomorphisms of the spaces of measures.
There is a one year postdoctoral position open at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK, where among other possibilities in the Science Faculty there is a possibility to work with Mirna Dzamonja on the project
